I originally bought the itouchless trash can, which broke within six months. Then I bought this one, it worked fine for two years, then the plastic lid broke where the plastic attaches to the hinge. Now the gears can’t make contact and open the lid. Scratch up $60 for the first one, $60 for this one, and now I have to buy a third? That’s ridiculous. The can I want is the one that my grandchildren will still be using when I am old. I don’t want to buy a garbage can every two years. On a side rant, in the last 10 years, I have bought 3 shavers, 2 LCD TVs, and 2 trash cans, all which failed prematurely. It seems that everything is disposable these days.

First, this trash can does what it is designed to do. The infrared sensor works. The lid opens. It closes. It looks good. It is a good size. And, it lets you put trash in.
The problem is the design of the canister. For some unknown reason, the lip at the top of the can is to the inside.
Don’t see the problem? With the lip on the inside, the body of the can is larger than the lip. So, when you try to pull the bag out, it hangs and tears the bag. So 90% of the time (even with expensive, thick bags) I end up cleaning up a mess on the floor.
Our solution: we took a large piece of cardboard, cut it to size and lined the can with it so the body of the can is the same size as the lip.

I BROUGHT THIS FOR THE SIZE AND I REALLY “LOVE” IT. I’M “NOT” IMPRESS WITH THE INFRARED TOUCHLESS DEVICE (sometimes I’m on and other times I’m off). MAYBE DOWN THE LINE I MAY HAVE A MORE POSITIVE REVIEW WITH THE “TOUCHLESS.”

My search is over. I have been searching for a LARGE kitchen trashcan FOREVER. My hunt is over.This trashcan is huge,stylish and fits in my kitchen perfectly. I love that it sits flat against my wall. The touchless feauture works perfectly, only opens when you need it to. No more DIRTY trashcan. Who would think that a trashcan can have such a positive impact on your everyday lifestyle, but this one does. Life is sooooo much easier with 4 children it seemed like i was living in a trash dump. The little trashcan I had in the kitchen before was so tiny I had to dump it 2 or 3 times a day the kids would leave the trash on my countertop (cereal boxes,juice boxes,soda cans, water bottles). With this trashcan I only have to dump it every other day. The lid fits tightly to prevent smells and the trashbag hides into the top of the unit. Only thing I can find wrong is that this trashcan seems thin it looks like it can dent very easy.

I really love Nine Stars their products. I bought many of their trashcans besides the ease of using the trashcans, the long lasting battery life really amazed me!
I have their products for about a year and they still have the first set of batteries I put in up and running with not sign of wear out.
The body of the can has anti-fingerprint protection so even if it gets dirty I can simply just wipe it off.
Trash can really does what it claims avoid touch of dirty cans and keep the bad smell this is really super!!
The only thing I would complain is the sensor response, if it could be somewhat a little faster will be great, but it really bother me that much once you get used to the timing it works like a charm.
Compared with traditional step on or old fasion trash can, I don’t really need to worry about touching the can at all and the pedal will break one day.
I really recommend this product to everyone that wants a germ free and that really hates touching the dirty trash can when they need to throw trash.
