make sure you have plenty of money (cause they’re gonna find things that need fixing, that you’d never expect…) make sure you can get your cabinets and fixtures on time. Make sure all your contractors do their jobs (ask for licenses). Have a backup plan…and make sure you have a place to eat while the kitchen is dismantled.
take the dimensions to a kitchen showroom place they will design it for you run a few ideas on a computer with you to see what works best its normally free service
1. Scan your kitchen for a visual sense of what it looks like now, and how you want it to be. Start with the cabinets or the countertops.
2. Browse through magazines, websites & TV shows for ideas on how simple changes can alter the look of your kitchen. Customizing them for your own layout is the easiest way forward.
3. Pick a floor plan, consult with kitchen design experts, or follow the do-it-yourself way to start remodeling.
1) Scope of work. Exactly what are you going to change?
2) What are you going to do yourself and what are you going to hire someone else to do?
3) Interview and select contractor and/or subcontractor(s).
4) meet with him/her/them to discuss schedule, permits, inspections, etc. and set start date.
5) remove all of your stuff before start date.
6) remove cabinets, counters, plumbing fixtures. flooring. walls, electric fixtures and lights.
After that it depends on what the scope of work is.
