Are kitchen trash bags recyclable or should I dump the cans/bottles into the bin and throw away the bag?

My city’s recylcing program won’t take the bags. Probably it’s better to dump the cans/bottles into the bin without the bag. But you could call your local disposal company, or whoever it is that picks up the recyclables.
Normally they are not recyclable, and some places won’t recycle the contents if they are in a non-recyclable container. What we do at my house is put the recycling in a separate trash can, and then throw the bags in the trash.
In NYC, we use clear plastic bags.
you should dump the cans/bottles into the bin and throw away the bag
As far as I know, most trash bags are not recyclable. You would just place the cans and bottles into the bin without the bag. If you put it in with the bag the people who pick up the trash won’t take it.
you can sell it on junk shops….doing it will not only give you a Little amount of money but more importantly, the privilege to give your part being a responsible citizen of the world…
My city’s recycling doesn’t want any bags, they tell us to just throw the recyclables in the bin without extraneous materials like paper or plastic bags. I think that trash bags are recyclable but only where these facilities exist. And that is practically nowhere. It is difficult to find recycling for plastic bags. You could reuse the bag, though. If it’s for recyclables, why not?
I live in Japan and we put our recyclables in clear plastic bags only. This is the only bag that is recyclable. Maybe in your country too.
Even better than recyclable, they are reusable. Dump the cans/bottles into the bin, then use the bag for household trash next time you need to replace a bag.
